Ontario offers its companies the network of partnerships and resources to help recruit talented and trained employees- saving employers both time and money.

San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department (WDD)

Among the services offered by the County of San Bernardino WDD are: labor market information, job description design, targeted recruitment, job listing services, applicant screening, assessment testing, interviewing space and customized training. The WDD also offers developmental training, occupational training, on-the-job training, vocational training and a technical training program. Screening and forms completion are provided for eligible applicants in the Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program (WOTC), as are employee share programs, job search skills training, dislocated worker service, referral to supportive services and youth employment services. Sponsor of the Employer Advisory Council, the WDD also offers a Professional Resource Network for managerial and technical workers.

State of California Employment Development Department (EDD)

The EDD also sponsors the Employer Advisory Council.

The West End SELPA provides applicant screening, assessment testing, job listing services, labor market information, on-the-job training, targeted recruitment, vocational training and youth employment services.

State of California Employment Training Panel (ETP)

ETP is a cooperative business-labor program designed to retrain workers. Companies facing out-of-state or international competition who need to retrain current employees, and companies seeking to hire new workers or train eligible new-hires may apply for ETP training funds. If your firm is planning to retrain current employees, requisite is that you be conducting the training to prevent lay-offs, transforming your company into a high-performance workplace or diversifying your products or services.
