Neighborhood Parks

With more than 300 acres of parks within City limits, Ontario has an extensive system of parks and recreation areas offering a wide variety of family and sports opportunities. Largest among these is the 150-acre Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park. With a lake, swimming, fishing, boating and water slides, the park features 26 group picnic areas, a playground plus volleyball and horseshoes.

The 42-acre John Galvin Park includes a 2,500 seat baseball stadium as well as picnic areas, tot lots and tennis courts. Also offering volleyball, John Galvin Park is adjacent to the 15 acre West Cucamonga Creek Trails which provide 2.4 miles of bicycle and hiking trails - ever-popular for nature walks - as well as a 1.3 mile equestrian trail.

The 23-acre Westwind Park is home to Ontario's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular and includes lighted Little League fields, softball and soccer fields, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as lighted tennis courts, the Westwind Community Center, a gymnasium and swimming pool. The site of the annual Cinco de Mayo Festival, 20-acre De Anza Park features group picnic areas; a tot lot; softball, basketball and volleyball courts.

Ontario Soccer Park consists of two synthetic turf tournament fields, one natural turf tournament field, two adult fields and two practice fields. In between the synthetic turf fields is a pedestrian promenade viewing area along the length of the fields, with shade structures, terraced seating, and an elevated pedestrian concourse with ADA accessible viewing areas.  The two synthetic turf fields utilize tournament level sports field lighting, a cooling system for the synthetic surfacing, and player misting towers.  Also among the City's larger, developed parks is the 18-acre Anthony Munoz Park with picnic areas, a tot lot, basketball court, open turf, and pedestrian paths. Meanwhile, Homer F. Briggs Park includes an equestrian arena and trail, Little League baseball, basketball, picnic areas and a tot lot. Additionally, more than a dozen other parks provide a variety of venues and outdoor recreation.

Throughout Ontario, opportunities for family fun, sports and outdoor enthusiasts are easily found.
