City of Ontario Announces Lunar New Year Experience

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, from Noon to 4 PM, the Ontario Museum of History & Art will host the Lunar New Year Experience. Celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Monkey with an afternoon of fun for all ages. The entire family is invited to explore and celebrate the cultural holiday through live performances, face painting and hands-on arts and craft stations throughout the Museum. Observe and participate in a Chinese calligraphy demonstration by artist Tom Chow and learn how to write Chinese characters. Live performances include A Little Dynasty Chinese School Traditional Chinese Orchestra at 2 PM, Chinese folk dance by M Studio at 2:45 PM and Japanese taiko drumming by Senryu Taiko at 3 PM. Join our culminating grand parade at 3:30 PM celebrating Lunar New Year and the Year of the Monkey! This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
