Ontario Fire Department Responds to Pallet Fire Next to Business

The Ontario Fire Department responded to a pallet fire next to a business at 2313 S. Baker Avenue.  At 1:23 PM, the Ontario Fire Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting pallets on fire to the rear of the structure.  At 1:28 PM, the first arriving Engine Company found a large column of smoke and fire coming from a storage area behind the building, with flames beginning to impinge on the building.  Fire attack was immediately initiated.  Primary and secondary searches for victims were completed, and no victims were located.  The fire was confined to the property of origin, and brought under control within 20 minutes.  Two occupancies on the property suffered minor smoke damage.
